Track Record Summary: PhD awarded 30 July 2005; 32 publications in English since 1994. 22 ISI publications since 2004 with 285 citations, H index: 9; Research grant awarded as PI: > £300K; as a Co-applicant, >£ 500K. Received a five year Botnar Fellowship of Oxford University; A VIP Fellowship from the Wellcome Trust; As a co-applicant for an International Investigation Opportunity Funding, New Zealand; As a co-applicant for an industry grant from Procter & Gamble, the United States. Other grants including industry support, ESF travel grant to map protein corona on metal nanoparticles, ABMU NHS grant for cartilage tissue regeneration. Undergraduate teaching for part of one module. Undertaking tHE teaching certificate course. Supervised three third year undergraduate student projects. Successfully supervised two PhD students. Currently supervising two PhD students and co-supervising two PhD students. Working closely with industries and currently assist 3 Welsh companies. Organising venture capitals and a spin-in company in the Centre for NanoHealth. Organising a joint research centre and postgraduate programme with China.
